As Benefit BrowBars reopen, what precautions are being taken to ensure everyone’s health and safety?

For over 40 years, Benefit Cosmetics has been offering brow & beauty services that meet the very highest safety standards. Today, as the world’s leading employer of licensed aestheticians, we’ve provided additional training our teams to take necessary precautionary measures & follow a strict services protocol to ensure every customer’s experience is exceptional & safe.

Here are the precautions as directed by Health Canada:

  • All Benefit employees are required to take a self-screening questionnaire every day before work and temperature check upon store entry and mid way through their shift
  • Employees are required to wear a face shield with a mask underneath at all times, as per local mandates.
  • All Benefit employees must wash & sanitize their hands before putting clean gloves on, before touching anything or every 30 minutes.
  • All employees are required to wear a new set of gloves with every client & to sanitize them throughout the service when necessary.
  • All BrowBar stations & chairs are thoroughly sanitized upon store opening, and disinfected again prior to and following each service using Health Canada approved disinfectant.
  • Our typical two seat service stations are now limited to one seat/customer per station.
  • We set up a fresh “sanitary maintenance area” for each client and all disposable tools are safely discarded after each service. Non-disposable tools such as tweezers & scissors are separated into a clearly labeled container for proper disinfecting.
  • All non-disposable tools are washed with warm soapy water and placed in high level Health Canada approved disinfectant. Before use, they are disinfected again, using alcohol.
  • We ask that only aestheticians handle testers to limit contamination risk. We sanitize all product testers before & after every use and use a single-use, disposable applicators to avoid cross-contamination.

As per Health Canada Direction for Personal Services in British Columbia

  • Clients should complete the following online assessment https://ca.thrive.health prior to their appointment
  • Clients are encouraged to wear masks and will be provided with one should they not have their own
  • Temporary limit to personal services where masks cannot be worn (i.e Lip Wax)

How should I prepare for my upcoming beauty service?

We’re are so excited to welcome you back to the Benefit BrowBar! For brow and facial waxing, just show up as your gorgeous self.

What should I consider the day of my appointment?

To comply with social distancing please ensure you arrive alone (unless under the age of 17). As well arrive early to allow the time for line concierge and check in.

I’m running late. What’s your late policy?

We do our best to accommodate everyone, including walk-in guests. Keep in mind that we may need to reschedule your appointment to the next available time if you are more than 5 minutes late

What age do I need to be to receive a beauty service?

We love Benebabes of all ages! Clients who are 17 years and under must have a parent or guardian present at the time of the appointment to give consent for the service

What if I need to move my appointment?

Plans change! You can cancel your existing appointment online through your account. Once you have canceled your existing appointment, you will be asked if you’d like to book a new one.

Great! How do I create an account?

To create an account, either...

  • Book an appointment and create a password on the last step
  • On the homepage, scroll down below the location menu and click CREATE AN ACCOUNT
  • The next time you come to book, login using the username and password you created!

I’d like to see the same aesthie I saw last time. Can I view my past appointment details?

Sure! You can view past appointment details, rebook past services, and manage notification preferences by creating an account and logging in to book.

What if I forget my password?

Click forgot your password? below the sign in button and you will be emailed a password reset link.

I didn’t receive my appointment confirmation email...where is it?

If you are having issues receiving appointment-related emails, please check your junk folder just to be safe. Then, log into your account to manage your notification preferences. If you’re still not sure, give the Benefit Brow Bar a call to confirm that your appointment is on the books.

I don’t live near a Benefit Brow Bar at Sephora, but my brows could use some love. Where can I get a beauty service done?
